Here we are at North Star Lofts with Keely and Winfred (Winnie)
and their owner, Kathleen. North Star Lofts (formerly the North
Star Woolen Blanket Factory) is located in the Mill District and
was one of the first loft conversion projects in Minneapolis.
This gorgeous loft building is a riverfront landmark and its
restoration signalled the beginning of the recent condo
boom downtown.

Kathleen was one of the first owners and, aside from being a highly
visible neighborhood advocate, she's also seen frequently around
town with her wonderful Yorkies. Opposites certainly attract in this
case - Keely is the calm, mature lap dog, while her younger
brother has enough energy to power a flour mill!

It goes without saying that the Mill District would not BE the
Mill District without these three lovelies there to put a smile on
our face as we pass them on the Stone Arch Bridge.
